One of the things we do every month in the Hay There Social Media Community is host guest speakers to lead Professional Development sessions for Hay There INsiders – both the Pro ($49/mo) and Certified ($99/mo) levels. The point is to continually sharpen the skills of freelance social media managers and it’s important for social media professionals to invest in their ongoing development.
This month, we had a TRULY exciting guest speaker to share with our community of social media professionals on the topic of “Content Operations and Insights for Social Media Professionals” led by influential mentalload expert and Certified Fair Play Facilitator, Zach Watson.
On LEAP DAY – Thursday, Feb 29, 2024, we heard from cultural change agent, Certified Fair Play Facilitator, influencer, voice of authority on all things about the domestic, mental and emotional load, and my friend, Zach Watson (@realzachthinkshare IG // @zachthinkshare TikTok).
Zach, husband, dad, and mentalload master, is a content creator at his core who is very familiar with the organic magic of video and storytelling. He has grown his follower base to…wait for it…over 366K followers on Instagram, over 315K followers on TikTok and over 230K on Facebook by sharing personal and generic examples of how we (men) fail at sharing the domestic, mental and emotional load.
Zach spoke to Hay There INsiders to share the back end of his content operations to help us social media professionals see how this successful content creator and solopreneur is running things as a small business.
We gained valuable tips and data-backed insights that he has picked up from across 4 platforms (all of this insight he doesn’t typically share with his social following but is willing to go behind the scenes since he is among the Hay There INsiders). Spoiler: Zach has been honing his video craft for sometime and you won’t get an overnight, random success story from him. He has put in the time and effort to learn what works and what doesn’t as a growing brand.
On this session, we heard about his Mentalload Mastery program; a 13 week program where he helps couples implements the Fair Play method and he holds the men accountable for weekly meetings with their partner for implementing and mastering the SEEING of mentalload while improving their communication habits with their partner.
A fan of accountability, Zach has referred to himself as a “recovering man child,” and proudly takes “imperfect action” everyday and is sure to provide wisdom to our community.
Missed it live? Don’t worry! You can still access the recording of this session from Leap Day (which only comes once every 4 years!) by becoming a Hay There Social Media Pro INsider today for $49/mo cancellable at anytime.
